The classes that I
teach are:
A period: 5th/6th Grade Writing/Language Arts class
We have recently begun working on expository writing techniques. The students are also keeping a journal in class as well as working on spelling words. Each week the students will receive a Spelling/Vocabulary journal on Monday. It will be due on Fridays. They have six words and three activities that need to be completed each week.
D period: 5th grade SRA/decoding skills class (Mon,Tues,Wed.)
E Period: 5th/6th Grade Math
We are working on many different objectives in this class. I will be focusing in on weaknesses that each student has and trying to build up these weaknesses.
I do not usually give
homework for these class as I find it to be more helpful for my students to do
their work in class, so I can monitor the students success and offer my
assistance if needed. However if I do
assign homework I will put it on the website and in the student’s agendas.
I work in these other
inclusion classes throughout the day.

B period: During this block I am in Mrs. Andersen’s 6th grade reading class. Each week the students have a book talk due on Friday. This is a 30 second talk on the book they are reading independently at home.
C Period: During this block I am in Mrs. Perkin’s 5th grade science class. We began a new chapter on the solar system on October 28, 2009. When homework is assigned it will be located on Mrs. Perkins homework page.
D Period: During this block (Thurs. Fri.) I work in Mrs. Chenail’s 8th grade math class. We have just begun working on combining like terms.

G Period: Is my support class. During this time students come to my room and we work on finishing incomplete work, studying for upcoming tests or give students extra support in subjects that they are struggling in.
