Dear Families,

I hope everyone had a relaxing summer and your children are ready for some exciting learning activities. We have several new programs this year: Fundations (a phonics program), and a new shared reading/guided reading/writing program. I am thrilled with all our new materials and can’t wait to dig in with my new students!

The Governor’s reading challenge paperwork was sent home during the last week of school. If you misplaced the paperwork, just write a list of the books that your child read and send the list in during the first week or two of school.

Please look through my links to find various learning websites that your child can use through the summer. One of my favorites is “Cool Math for Kids.” It is a great interactive site that builds math skills in a fun and exciting manner.
